In my last post I just kind of threw the fact out there that I was recently laid off. It’s been almost a month and I’ve never felt so discouraged as I do right now. I’ve not had one response to all the resumes I’ve dropped off or to the posted jobs I’ve applied for. Ugh. Hate feeling this way so I’m going to lighten the mood around here with this post.
That Man celebrated his 50th birthday last month. We had a little surprise birthday party for him and I think he truly enjoyed it. He’s not one to like any attention given to him but he handled the whole thing like a champ.
Kacie, his oldest, brought the cake and it was great. It said “Happy Birthday…Here’s to another 50 years of fishing!”
It was a fun evening and I’m glad we were able to finally pull something over on him.
Next time I’ll tell you all about the vacation we took to celebrate his milestone birthday. It was a doozie. Would you expect any less?
Have a great week y’all!

Congrats on finally getting something over on That Man - I can't wait to hear about your vacation (and I'm sorry about the job thing).
