True Story Tuesday

Southern Girl Gang Style

I’m baaaack! It’s been crazy, crazy, crazy these last few weeks but hopefully that’s all settled and I’ll finally be able to write a few things that will either make you laugh or shake your head and wonder “what is wrong with that girl?”

And to commemorate my attempt at blogging again I’m linking up with Rachel and Mr. Daddy and their hilarious True Story Tuesday!

If one of your Southern Girl Gang members comes to visit you in Louisiana, it would only be natural to take them to the drive thru ‘adult snow cone’ stand, right? In honor of the Royal Nuptials occurring the next day, a Wedding Cake ‘snow cone’ made perfect sense.

Daiquiri Shack

And if the two of you were planning on making Skittles Sangria to drink while watching Wills & Kate’s wedding (while wearing tiaras), it would require a trip to Walmart to purchase the necessary ingredients. And let me tell you - those adult snow cones surely do make that hellacious trip to Walmart much more enjoyable, that’s for sure.

Sometimes though the card readers do not work correctly and will cause those people drinking the ‘snow cones’ to make a comment along the lines of “Why do things like this only happen to us?”

And sometimes the people working at Walmart will tell you she knows what the problem is and quietly – while smirking though – point to the ‘snow cones’ and say, “Too many of that.”

Oopsie

Note to visiting Southern Girl Gang Member – next time take the tape off the cup! It’s a dead giveaway. You see, in Louisiana they hand you the ‘adult snow cone’ right out the drive thru window, but the lid is taped closed hence the masking tape.

And just to prove we really did wear tiaras, may I present to you Southern Girl Gang member Candance aka Crazy Texas Mommy in her royal wedding regalia, purple switchblade and all:

Emma's Day 008

Yes, she’s wearing a tiara, a veil, her pajamas and putting up her purple knife after opening the tiara packages. There is more to come about her visit. So much more. Just y’all wait.

Y'all are crazy! And I mean that in the best, "waiting for more stories" way! :)

Love that the checker called y'all out, ha ha!

Thanks for linking up!

There is a drive-thru daiquiri shop just outside the New Orleans airport, and my mom stops to buy me a White Russian before she pick me up every time. It is a very long journey (27 hours) especially with 2 kids under 4 in tow, and I am hanging for that "adult snow cone" once we get there.
