If you happen to follow my personal Facebook page, I posted a picture earlier today that I was going to a lecture tonight presented by Billy Bretherton…you know, A&E’s ‘Billy the Exterminator’.
Billy wanted to go into law enforcement but not being the most ideal student, it seemed more likely he would end up on the other side of the law. The Air Force was the solution and while there he took an aptitude test that indicated he was adept at all things electrical and also biology. Since he could barely plug in a toaster, he went the route of biology – specifically entomology, the study of insects.
Twenty-three years later he’s on a reality show about his pest control business with his parents and his brother, Ricky.
He seemed to be very grounded and down-to-earth and doesn’t even watch TV. In fact, just the other day he spent 15 minutes talking to some girl named Snookie who said she was a fan of the show. He had no idea who she was.
All in all, it was a pretty interesting night. He said he believes you should treat all things with dignity and respect because what you put out in the world does come back to you tenfold.
Here are a few pictures from the evening:
His wife, Mary. Think she could have put some make-up on…at least a little color on her lips? He must have met her during those years he lived above the Mason-Dixon line because a Southern girl would never had gone on stage looking like that!
Now if I’m being completely honest, this was definitely the best part of the night. Without.a.doubt!
I swear I wanted to scoop him up and put him in my purse. Every time I took his picture his grandma would say, “Smile baby - That lady’s takin’ yur pitcher!” It was awesome.
Now I’m off to dreamland because as the week progresses, the time change is affecting me more and more.
Sweet dreams y’all!
